When I was younger, I didn't really know where to look for inspiration in terms of luxury. If I want to know what the latest car was, I would visit the Top Gear website or just simply Google it. Now, having worked in multiple industries, from retail, banking, new world investments and owning a luxury salon, I now know more or less where to look for the latest luxury item.
Now, I knew where to look, but how to buy? This is where I came across the idea of having a magazine that purely features luxury assets that the reader could buy, and that wasn't just for show.
In late 2013 the blueprint idea was formed and trialled, with different concepts spinning in my head, until I contacted Johan at JamesEdition. Meeting him in London with a blueprint idea and mockup, we both had the same vision, and from there we have grown.
The first magazine was published in January 2014 featuring over £80 million worth of assets, including the Batman Tumbler. The first issue went down well, and since then the magazine has grown, with continuous development in design and content.
Recently, I had multiple feedback from readers and in certain HNI that, although the name of the magazine was great, it was difficult to spell, and i knew exactly what they were talking about. So, after testing certain names, I decided to re-name the magazine, BONUS Magazine. This name is easier to spell, pronounce and remember, yet it was memorable.
Although promoting assets is exciting, I wanted to get more involved with the movement of the asset, in terms of buying and selling, and now I have opened a Brokerage+Consultant branch, specialising in Off Market sales. I wanted to enable buyers and sellers to stay private and to move the asset with having to plaster the asset all over the web, magazines, blogs and social media. This means that I sell the asset through my network and get results by approaching active buyers and not relying on passiing traffic. I hate having an asset sitting on the market for more than six months... Time is Money.
With both elements of the business working hand in hand, I have had the pleasure of meeting some superb individuals and agencies from across the globe and look forward to meeting many more...
In the mean time, I hope you enjoy reading the magazine and will continue to read on
